My First Encounter: A Sole Society Review

I was going to save this review until I actually receive the shoes I purchased but I wanted to share with you this awesome coupon code provided by the Influenster Holiday VoxBox and Sole Society! You can get $25 off your first purchase at Sole Society by entering the coupon code INFLUENSTER25. It’s that easy but hurry it expires on January 31st!

Review on! I don’t think I had ever heard of Sole Society prior to my Influenster Holiday VoxBox so I was excited to check out the website. I love all different types of shoes (if you follow me on Instagram you’ll know that I am particularly fond of Tory Burch, including but not limited to the iconic Reva Flat).

Here is a brief description of Sole Society provided by Influenster:
“Sole Society allows you to discover the latest trends, share your personal style,, recommend shoes to friends, and follow the curated collections of top fashion insiders.”

The website was really easy to use. Upon first entering they ask you to sign up which basically means giving them your name and email address. You’ll also have to provide your shoe size so you can be presented with a custom list of shoes available to you. I normally have a hard time finding shoes in my size (5.5) but there were a number of options to choose from. Yippee!

I seriously had the hardest time choosing because there were so many amazing options to choose from. Not to mention they come in different colors! Gah! First world problems…

I was however able to narrow it down to 2 styles that I loved.

Option A: Stephanie $49.95
Open toe heel with cut out detail. Features single platform and ankle strap.
  • Platform Description: 1"
  • Material: Faux Suede
  • Heel Height: 5"
  • Fit: True to size
Option B: Lindzi $49.95
O-ring flat sandal with embellished T-strap design in 2 great metallic options.
  • Material: Leather
  • Heel Height: 1/2"
  • Fit: True to size

Can you guess which one I chose? Well, ultimately I decided on option B, Lindzi the T-strap flat. I actually liked Stephanie, the strappy heel, better but it came down to which “type” of shoe I needed and I needed a flat. I ordered on Thursday (1/17) and it should arrive in 5 – 7 business days.

One complaint I have about Sole Society is that they charge additional for shipping to Hawaii and Alaska, thus I had to pay an extra $9!!! Boo! As a resident of Hawaii I have to say we always get the short end of the stick requiring us to pay extra shipping fees or when we are excluded from free shipping deals. I understand that shipping things to me requires a plane ride and may cost more but it may dissuade me from purchasing again and they may lose customer. Just my two cents.

Anyhow, the purchasing process at the Sole Society website was easy and quick and I MAY consider purchasing from them again if they change their shipping policy. Seriously folks, I need to really want something or not be able to get it elsewhere if I am going to consider paying 9 bucks for shipping.

I’ll do an updated post once I get my shoes so that I can review the actual product. This was just a review on the Sole Society program and purchasing. Do you want your own pair of Sole Society shoes for $25 off? Sign up and use the code INFLUENSTER25. Hurry, the coupon code expires on January 31st!
